There are some artists whose quirkiness makes you step back and evaluate whether you listened to it were coherent or abstract. Each track that Bay Area artist Seiji Oda imprints his eccentric touch onto invokes a different sense of satisfaction. Seiji leaves a lasting impression whether he is reciting half-spoken rhymes over a self-produced lo-fi beat or spitting emotive one-liners over an Asian-inspired trap beat.

The unsigned Japanese singer and producer had an explosive 2020. His meme-inspired animated tracks resonated with hip-hop fans' new age and garnered him over 23 million streams on Spotify. Oda cemented himself in the world of Soundcloud rap and internet trolls by releasing his breakout hit 'Trapanese'.The slow-burn track exhibits Oda and his brother Lil Ricefield exchanging profane verses and showcasing the characters they devise over the nearly two-minute length. The song has accumulated over 18 million streams and landed the pair an interview with Genius.

Seiji released his debut album BLUE +, highlighting his off-beat bars and production savvy portfolio of lo-fi, R&B, and hip-hop beats. Oda best details his style, "combining vintage and nostalgic Bay Area style with new off-kilter jazz and lo-fi soundscapes." Today Oda releases his left-of-center double single pack paired with synthy frantic 'CYBORG' and symphonic lo-fi 'NO FILLINS.' Oda calls the NO FILLINS "a reinterpretation of the underground classic "cupcake no fillin" by the trunkboyz, which pretty much means - we can cupcake, kick it, hang out, but no feelings, no strings attached."
